If you go to the archives, you'll see there's an enormous 3-year gap between posts. That means I should have reached my goal weight and am the pilar of health, right? Yeah, let's just quit with the fantasies and dispense with the BS. I FAILED!!!! And quite spectacularly, I might add. Not only am I not at goal weight, I am actually heavier than ever. What could have possibly caused this? Stay tuned to find out and also to witness as I try, once again, to reclaim my body from obesity.

A new, temporary goal
Well, as a motivation attempt, I am enacting a temporary, 4-day goal. My goal is to get below 290 before my birthday, which is Thursday (5/4). Can I do it? We'll find out. My wife WILL be posting her Day 30 pictures tonight along with her current stats. Until then...

Day 30....where did the time go?
Whew!!! 30 days down, 60 to go. I will admit, there were times I thought this was all a bust, and after a "falling off the wagon" on day 15, I thought for sure this was just not for me...but I quickly rebounded, brushed myself off, and started again with renewed determination. As you can see by my stats and pictures below, even with my brief stumble I was able to post some pretty dramatic results. I can't wait for day 60. Anyway, here are my stats and comparison photos to show you my progress thus far.

Day 11...what?
Well, Day 11 became our off day. So far we've yet to stick to the plan of making Sunday our rest day. Work is just too much of a strain on our systems that its probably going to be impossible to workout all week and then rest on the weekend. I'm fine with that. Ate pretty darn good yesterday. Again, just maintaining my water intake and limiting my portion size. Menu was as follows:
Breakfast
Bowl of Special K Red berries w/ 1% milk
1st break
100-cal Cheez-It snack pack
No lunch :(
2nd break
Handful of peanuts
Dinner
Chicken wrap
french fries

Days 9 and 10...condensed...for your pleasure
As the title suggests, I have condensed yesterday and today into one post. Why? Because I am too tired to do separate posts and I just want to get stuff up here and then go to bed. Sculpt was all I wanted it to be...and so much more. Pain, sweat, intense breathing, I had it all. And I hope it does the trick.
Tuesday menu
Breakfast
Strawberry Banana low-fat yogurt
No 1st snack
Lunch
A piece of leftover lasagna from Monday's dinner
small romaine lettuce salad w/ 2oz ranch dressing
2nd snack
Cheez-It 100-cal snack pack
Dinner
2 plain hamburger patties
2 helpings fried potatoes
Strawberry-banana smoothie
All meals/snacks accompanied by lots of water
Sweat tonight was as intense as Monday...got a little more accomplished...more sweat...more pain. Not digging Tony's "kids"...they make me laugh with their silly faces. On to Sculpt for tomorrow.
Wednesday menu

Special K Red Berries cereal bar
Banana
6oz orange juice
1st break
6 baby carrots w/ ranch dressing
Lunch
Lean Cuisine Pepperoni Pizza
100-cal Doritos snack pack

Day 8...a new beginning of sorts
300.7lbs!!!!!!!!!!!
That's what the scale said. I know its a tad more than what I was reporting at times, but seriously, this is what the scale said at the start of week 2, so this is what counts. 7.7lbs in one week is pretty good. Sure, its probably mostly water weight, but whatever. My measurements have changed too....I will have to post those when I get home as they are on my home PC, but seriously, change is good.
As the post title says, this is a new beginning. Saturday and Sunday were pretty bad. Granted I followed the diet...dinner both nights was at restaurants and weren't good for me in any way. Sure, I drank my water and controlled my portions....it still sucks that I fell off the wagon like that. But, that all changes. Today is the first OFFICIAL P90 day. No more Fat Burning Express for the time being. Just Tony Horton's methods for sweating and sculpting. Like I said before, we'll revisit FBE on day 45 and see where we are in comparison to the last week. So it begins again. Here are my stats for the start of this week
Weight - 300.7 lbs
Chest (in.) - 49.5
Waist (in.) - 53.5
Hips (in.) - 48.5
L. arm (in.) - 16
R. arm (in.) - 16
L. thigh (in.) - 28
R. thigh (in.) - 27
Body fat % - 34 1/4%
BMI - 40.78
AH, RESULTS!!!
UPDATE
Well, the regular P90 kicked my ass harder than the FBE towards the end. I forgot how much leg and arm-specific work is done in Sweat series. My legs felt like heavy wood after a couple minutes. I am used to the structured reps of the FBE instead of just repeating the same motion until Tony says to switch. I can definitely see where the success comes from...this is brutal. Didn't get all the way to the end...body rejected me. Started way too late to get into it. Dayling Savings Time is kicking my internal clock around. Didn't begin working out until 9:30. Made it to the end...but didn't do the cool down or the finishing stretches....also not ready for Ab Ripper just yet...too much to do and not quite able to get it done. This is my pace, dammit...I'll do it when I'm ready.
Menu
Breakfast
1 cup low-fat strawberry yogurt
1st Snack
100-cal snack pack of Keebler Fudge Stripe cookies
Lunch
Michelina's Lean Meals Swedish Meatballs dinner
8 red apple slices
2nd snack
Handful of shelled walnut halves
Dinner
3-inch square of homemade lasagna
2 breadsticks
Drank about 150oz of water.
Keep pushing play all

Day 5...a little better, but not by much
The day was going pretty good. I had drank 100oz of water within the first 4 hours of the day, I had maintained good eating habits, and I was feeling good...then dinner. My wife's ex-husband had the kids for the evening, so we wanted to celebrate our free night in style. So we went to the mexican restaurant across the street from us. Now, if you've read my wife's post, you'll see I stayed the course...but I still need to stay away from going out all the time. But, we did come home after doing some low-cal low-fat food shopping to work out. The workouts ARE getting easier, so that makes me happy. Sunday is the final day of the Fat Burning Express program, and I am thrilled. Not that I don't like FBE, its just that its kicking my ass and I want to get into the regular program. So I am anticipating the end. Our goal is that on day 45, we're gonna revisit the FBE for one workout to see how well we do with it. Hoping to tackle it hardcore and try some plyo with it by then. Well, onto day 6's info...here's 5's menu.
Breakfast
Strawberry Yogurt
1st snack
12 white seedless grapes
Lunch
Remaining ravioli from Thursday's lunch.
1 cup low-fat cottage cheese
2nd snack
Handful of peanuts
Dinner
2 chorizo quesadillas
tortilla chips and queso
Drank about 200oz of water throughout the day.
Keep pushing play
